Vocations Ministry

St. Timothy Parish Vocations Ministry is dedicated to fostering and sustaining Religious Vocation’s consciousness among all members of our Parish Community by proclaiming the message of Christ. Our particular emphasis is supporting and nurturing those who desire, seek and commit to ordained Ministry and Religious Life. Our work is accomplished through prayer, worship, education, service and fellowship with the entire Parish Community.

National Vocations Awareness Week is 5-11 November.

National Vocations Awareness Week is an annual week long celebration dedicated to promoting vocations to the priesthood, diaconate, consecrated life and marriage through prayer and education.  Here’s what our plans are for the week:

  • You will see announcements in the Bulletin and the Computer Blast
  • Our priests will be praying for vocations during the week and at all the Masses
  • You will see  posters and banners set up around the Church and the
    Parish Hall
  • There will be a table set up in the Narthex with Vocations Material
displayed along with cards of the current class of Seminarians.
  • Vocations will be mentioned and prayed for in the Rosary every morning
    before Mass.
  • The Director of the Vocations Ministry, Art Lichte, will speak to Men’s Club
on the 6th of November and his presentation is:  Vocations: For God and
    Country
  • We ask all the people who do Adoration to pray for vocations and we
have some prayer booklets available for their use.
  • Finally, we encourage everyone to remember our seminarians in their prayers
this week along with all vocations.

Parents: It is our calling to help our children seek their vocation in life. For information on how to help your children explore the vocation to religious life, click here.

All Parishioners: At St. Timothy, we have an Adopt-A-Seminarian program. To read bios on our seminarians, click here. Select the seminarian that you would like to pray for daily. From time to time, you are encouraged to send him a letter and a small gift (a book of stamps, a $5.00 gift card).

All Parishioners: Praying for all of the priests of the diocese is so important for us to do as Catholics. One priest of the diocese is chosen every day for us to pray for. Click here to see the Priest of the Day.

If you are interested in being a part of St. Tim’s Vocations Ministry, where we focus on vocations to the priesthood, permanent diaconate, consecrated life, and sacramental marriage, please contact Art Lichte, Vocations Ministry Director, yankee01@icloud.com or Deacon Mike Ryba, deaconmike@sainttims.org
