Mission: To provide an opportunity for weekly and Sunday Holy Communion, prayers, and joy to those who cannot regularly attend mass. “I was a stranger and you welcomed me… I was sick and you visited me…”
What do we do:
We bring the healing and comforting power of Jesus in the Eucharist weekly to parishioners who are in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, private homes and shut-ins. We pray and visit with them and communicate any spiritual needs that they may have to our parish priests. We also assist in the monthly celebration of Mass at larger nursing homes and assisted living facilities that have a high concentration of Catholic residents.
Membership: Open to all.
Meetings: Call for services schedule, no fundraising activities.
Training/Preparation: Diocesan training for extraordinary ministers of Holy Communion is required and available.
