Mission: Provide English-speaking females access to the prayer, scripture readings, homily, intercessions and the Holy Eucharist (blessings for non-catholics). “For I was … in prison and you visted me.” Matthew 25: 36

What do we do: Visit those in jail to listen, comfort and encourage them through song, prayer and also bring them Holy Eucharist. As we call upon the Lord to help us in our ministry, we learn that by allowing the Holy Spirit to work through us, we see beyond the crime to the basic value of the individual as a child of God and believe in a person’s ability to change. We pray that the incarcerated we serve see the miracle of Faith and the light within each of us shine through. “…let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” (Mt 5: 16)

Membership: Open to all.

Meetings: Provide services the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month, 5:30PM. Falkenburg Road Jail

Training/Preparation: Hillsborough County Sheriff requires mandatory training and background checks.

Point of Contact: Leave a message on the St. Vincent DePaul line (813) 968-1077 ext. 261
