For families, parents and students, each evening will begin at the Youth Center at 6:00pm with pizza, open gym, and time to connect as families in a relaxed and joyful environment.
At 7:00pm, everyone is invited into the church to encounter a powerful, hope-filled message from our guest speaker, David Calavitta, who is a national speaker and worked at LIFE TEEN. He has a message for all our families.
The Church teaches that the family is more than a social structure; it is part of God’s plan. The Catechism of the Catholic Church states that “the Christian family… can and should be called a domestic church” (CCC 2204). This Lent we, as a church family will embark on a mission centered on strengthening and supporting the family.
The world is constantly pulling families apart and distracts us from what matters most. These nights create space to slow down, gather together, and be reminded that God has been pursuing us all along.
Whether you are deeply rooted in faith or quietly searching, whether you come alone or with your family, this mission offers a simple but powerful invitation: to be found, to be renewed, and to begin again together.
Join us as St. Timothy Catholic Church comes together for The Nearness of God, a three-night Lenten Parish Mission for the whole parish, with a special invitation to families and students.
Whether you are a parent, teen, child, or parishioner of any age, these nights are designed to be engaging and meaningful for all.
Come for one night or all three, bring your family, invite a friend, and allow this Lenten journey to renew hearts, strengthen faith, and draw our parish family closer to the nearness of God.
Our speaker is David Calavitta! David Calavitta is a passionate Catholic who loves Christ and His Church. He is also deeply in love with his wife, Brittany, and their two sons. From parish ministry roles to his work as a Director at Life Teen International, David has been blessed to serve the Church for over two decades. He speaks at parish and diocesan events with a focus on evangelization, discipleship, and building ministry cultures marked by clarity, and conviction. He is also a co-founder and brand strategist at SEEN + UNSEEN, where he helps Catholic organizations communicate with excellence and integrity.
We would love to offer a nursery during the Lenten Mission to support our young families! If you are interested in volunteering to make this possible, please contact Joe at joe@sainttims.org.
We hope to see you at our 2026 Lenten Mission!
